Looks like a lot of coverage for 2000 grafts. I have a question about the “after” photo, though, which states it was taken a year after the procedure. I believe hair tends to grow about 5 inches a year. After a transplant, in almost all cases, transplanted hair falls out and does not begin to grow in for 3-4 months. This would mean that the “after” hair has grown approximately 8-9 months. But her hair seems quite a bit longer than 5 inches. What gives?

Patient used Ziering Medical recommended post-op treatments that include the graft-cyte post-surgical kit along with in house laser treatments. In the after photo the patients hair is held back with a head band, the patients bangs are no longer then 5-6 inches. The photo is focused more on area coverage rather then the length of her hair. Remember average hair growth is 1/2 inch a month which means some grow more and some less.
I’d like to hear more about the post-op program. Does the laser help stimulate growth and/or healing? Much of her hair in the transplant region looks to be well over 8 inches long, whatever the main purpose of the photo. Thanks.

What is this in-house laser treatment? Does it mean that the patient has to go to your clinic to get the treatment? The only laser treatment I know is Lasercomb and you do this in your own home.

Our post-op treatment includes using products from the GraftCyte kit. The products encourage moist wound healing which is a proven method to help speed the healing. We also recommend that our patients come in to our office for a complimentary hair wash the following day to teach them proper care. Laser treatments are used to help establish new blood supply and stimulate growth sooner.

For our in house laser, yes the patient would have to come back to our office 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks as part of the post-op treatment. Although, this is not always convenient for everyone so we then send our patients home with a loaner laser comb.
