Well, I called the office and asked if I could talk to him and the secretary told me he doesn’t discuss anything over the phone, I asked if there was an email I could contact him at and she said no. Apparently, if you want to have any contact with the doctor you have to make an appointment and he works in New York City on wednesday through friday and I live in San Francisco. So if there is anyone on this site who lives in New York and can make an appointment should do so can talk to him about his research.

Thanks for your effort, a nice move. I hope somebody in the New York area will meet up with this guy
» You bashed Dr. Naughton heavily - like babies and retards do, if they

On the contrary, Iron_Man, I bashed her because he forecasted that “my meal” would come very soon, at 2013, and this overoptimistic prediction was imo, irrisponsible, as proven by the latest delay (Singapore trials will start Feb 2011).
Furthermore, as you know, yesterday, I found an even more optimistic prediction: Naughton said in Oct 2009, that “my meal” would come in 2 years, but now we see that this is totally impossible.
These overoptimistic predictions do no good. Their intent is manipulative.

Stop right here Spanish DUde we are talking about Dr Mizuguchi and we dont need your crap here, you are destroying the effort from some users who contacted them.
But to make things short, i dont care if they start in 2011 all i care for is a cure in the near future 2013 2014 anything else i dont care

At least it seems that ARI is NOT “cloning” any sort of “proto-hairs” in their labs or is using any sort of 3D scaffolds (neogenesis approach):

Just talked to one of the Aderans research sites by my house. I couldn’t get in on the trial because I didn’t meet the criteria, but I found out some interesting things.
They inject 2 million cells per injection, with 10 injections per centimeter of scalp.
They have you use Rogaine during the trial… which I don’t understand.
The study is rolling, which means that some people have already been treated, and there are a lot that have yet to be treated. In other words, not all trialists get injections at the same time.
She said they have seen hair growth in people, but that it’s “never going to give you what you had at 15 years old. It’s not designed to do that.”
I think it would be really helpful if some other people would call their local research site and ask some questions about the trial too.
Good questions could include:
Time to market?
Has it worked in people?
Why Rogaine?
Etc.
If we all get proactive, it will really ease the waiting.
Thanks Shooter and IronMan.
OMG, please, no, no, nooooo. I cannot believe it!
ROGAINE???
This is how they are getting 70% response rate?
“Not designed” to give us teenage hair?
WHAT THE CRAP IS THIS???
If this is true, (OMG, I hope it is not),I think the Japanese investors should have Washenik, Barrows, Stenn and company CASTRATED, DECAPITATED, AND FÜCKED IN THE ASSS for being such a bunch of…
okay, they have been for 10 years burning japanese money for this? multicenter trials to test Rogaine?
IronMan, why do you say they are not using scaffolds?
Is this a joke? Shooter!??

» Is this a joke? Shooter!??
Of course, they use a sort of “scaffold”, but more accurate in form of an extracellular matrix (ECM) GEL, because the different cell types have to clump in the 1st step. So in fact they inject a sort of “cell seeds”, whereby these “seeds” consists of the different pre-clumped cell types (look at ARIs video/animation on their website).
“Cells were combined with Matrigel™ (a surrogate extracellular matrix) and implanted at various depths.”

For those who live near a trial center, it would be a good idea to go there and tell them that you are interested on being a trialist, and ask them the details of the procedure, and if you will have to use any other drug during the trial.

Failure means Failure even our phone calls wont change anything. Lets stop wasting our precious time on Ari.
I dont know why you are so after this right now, you knew this outcome all the time:-)
And i personally think that its pretty much ok that they admit failure NOW and not in 2015.
Come on did you really think that a cure would be around the corner, this is so unlikely like ARI succed ^^
Come on we all had our fun, we argued with each other, we shared “informations” and we hated each other, i think thats something nobody can steal from us and we should keep it in our minds as a nice summer thing
And believe me thew yont say anything other then what they told Shooter
Rogaine was used to increase hair
it wont give you back a full head of hair
This Dr Washnek was also totally lying when he said that with HM you can get a better density then you ever had before.
The correct thing he menat was " If you are a NW7 then you will get a better Density because we used Rogaine and just one hair is in fact a better density then cero Hairs LOLZ OMFG ROFL OWND"
I know many dreams are crushed right now but hey come on we all saw it coming didnt we.
Leeroy, I didn’t knew ARI was going to fail. And we still have to confirm.
If confirmed, yeah, everyone will say “I told you so”.
» This Dr Washnek was also totally lying when he said that with HM you can

Where did Washenik say this? Well, nevermind. I am not surprised, though. In theory, HM is capable of everything.
Paul Kemp also said “Baldness will be a choice”. Yeah, you can choose which way you will suicide yourself.lol. ahahaha.

That means, if you’re a NW-0 patient, and ARI is able to create some additional hairs for you, you have more density than you were ever born.
If you’re a NW-7 patient, and ARI is able to create some additional hairs for you (e.g. a few hundred), you have more density than ever before (–>NW-6.5 patient).

This whole thing seems to be foreshadowing some terrible revelation that I think is going to cause some major heartbreak for us. Damn, I thought we were so close… WTF this is truly the worst news ever especially since we don’t have many other companies to look to now. We are simply running out of options. One by one these companies seem to drop like flies. Man, it does seem as though all of my aspirations are shattered. So if this is true then it leaves us w/ only Histogen? That doesn’t seem like good odds to me. :crying:

well, the interviewer asked “theorically”, so Dr. Washenik happily answered a comfortable Yes. how easy.
