Dr. Keser, 1100 grafts

On March 8th, 2010 I had a small procedure with Dr. Keser in Ankara, Turkey. I recieved roughly 1,100 grafts via fue (I was shown my grafts under microscope prior to implantation) to my hairline and temple areas. I am 27 years old and have been on finasteride for a few years now. I have been using Rogaine foam for almost a year (stoped using prior to my HT and waited about 2-3 months to resume usage). Here are a few pre-op pictures, I am waiting on a representative from the Clinic to resize the other pictures for me.

I wanted to let people know that Dr. Keser is a very intelligent man and easy going/easy to talk to. We designed a hairline that wasn’t too low but still framed the face. I also expressed to him that I did not want perfect symetry with the hairline as i felt that would look abnormal and too drastic of a change for me. I chose Dr. Keser because I feel that he has the skill to design great hairlines with the knack for details! His clinic is fairly small so you get opperated on by the Doctor himself! I experienced no pain, only once did I flinch and that was from the first injection. Even healing was a breeze. As you can see from my post op surgery photo’s, infact the second picture down, the right side of my donor is barely 1 day post op and the left side picture of my donor was taken immediately after!

You have gorgeous hair, you can be on TV commercial selling shampoo

wow you have a natural cowlick, lucky bastard!

Keser is very new, I only started seeing his pics recently, what made you decide to go to him? Are you from Turkey or live near Turkey?

No, I am from the United States. Dr. Keser is very new on this website, it took me a while to get the courage and go through with it especially since this is my first procedure and flying to Turkiye was quite the experience! From my research, Dr. Keser is quite experienced at FUE (7 years). I chose to go with Dr. Keser because his hairline designs rival other Doctors, but he uses a smaller punch (by hand, not a drill) and does all of the procedure himself with the help of technicians (very nice, caring people by the way) The clinic is still fairly small which means you recieve a lot of attention, and the price is very fair (since you are not paying for frills and advertising).

Turkiye is a great country and I was a bit worried about traveling there with my girlfriend as we are American and did not know how we would be percieved in a foreign country far, far away. All was great though and the Turks were ALL very friendly! I stuck out like a sore thumb in Ankara and had many people greet me with “welcome to Ankara!” as they knew I was American.

Feel free to ask any other questions. Everyone at the clinic took special care of me (or so i felt!) and I feel I owe it to them to let everyone know how good my experience infact was. I was not put up to this, I am not a consultant in disguise, I am just a very satisfied patient!

Good story, usually I get bored easily reading people’s long winded story about how they arrived at the clinic yadi yada, yours didn’t come across as a marketing ploy for the clinic. I admire you having the courage to go to a foreign country for surgery, I don’t think I have the guts to do that just yet, maybe one day if the price is right. I figure with air and hotel, it may be just as expensive doing it in the States.

okay, I want an honest answer, did your girlfriend call you crazy ? She must have an opinion about this, to me you were a norwood 1 the worst case scenario, i would wait a couple more years if I were you.

Did the doctor tell you what density he gave you? how many grafts per sq cm?

Why do you have to wait 2 - 3 months before using minoxidil again? I stopped for about 3 months once and i lost a lot of hair
