Dr.Chris Bisanga, BHR Clinic, 4151 FUT 0-12 Months

This patient had a previous Strip, around 600 grafts spread. Dr. Bisanga placed 4151 over the frontal to mid areas, the patients surface area was larger than normal and with fine hair so the distribution had to be packed closer than average.

He has been back to us to work further back into the crown; we have placed a further 3763 grafts, 2568 FUT and 1195 FUE, so with Dr.Bisanga now a total 7914 Grafts and will update this later.

Wow

Great result…

If I understood correctly …

Including the crown… Roughly 7000 grafts for a full head of hair.

Thats incredible… 7000 grafts for a full head of hair from a balding area that is “larger than normal” plus he has thin hair…

Thats incredible.

Hes very fortunate.

Great work

Cheers

Ho MoM,

The pics above are after 4151 Strip grown out, I’ll post when I can the other procedure, 3700 combo that worked further back, so the two combined ops tally to around 7900 grafts.

Well we don’t know what the crown looks like yet but so far the hair line design is top notch.

9 Months update post last surgery to crown

His front looks far better than the crown. How many grafts were used for his crown?

Hi garyg,

If you go back in to the thread you will see a pictures of the first op grown out, a top shot and the surface area it covered for the amount of grafts used, 4151. Our patient, I am sure he will not mind us saying has a slightly larger surface area to cover than the average man, larger than average cranium you could say. The second op was a combo, total 3763 grafts, 2568 FUT and 1195 FUE, this 3700 had to cover an area slightly larger than the first and deal with the crown that has to spiral and harder to give the same look of thickness due to the lay of the hairs creating a natural looking crown.

At 9 months and considering the crown almost always takes longer to mature it is reasonable to expect a greater thickening up over most of the new area treated in the second op, what you see is not necessarily the final result. To achieve the situation he has today is a great success, his large surface area, fine blonde hair, previous two poor procedures before BHR, and to be able to expect more improvement at this stage.

Total restoration in terms not just of full coverage but consistently high density is almost impossible to achieve, a tiny handful of individuals may be able to dream of this. Obviously the hair line is the area that most want the “best” look, framing the face etc, and then you are left balancing the hair with the resources you have, so it is common that as you reach the crown the density placed will drop.

Speaking from experience, I managed something like near to 7000 scalp FUE and didn’t get total crown cover and now filling with beard and body, and I had a great starting position.

15 months post op his second procedure, he will be back for a last small FUE later in the year just to fill in a little area in the crown we did not touch.
