The patient below had 3,453 grafts with Dr. Baubac Hayatdavoudi in our Beverly Hills Clinic to restore zones 1, 2, 3 and 4.
This patient had diffuse thinning, grafts were placed all in between his existing hairs, the hairline was rebuild and redesigned and the crown was restored.
All after photos were taken by the patient himself in natural lighting.
The hairline design is like a perfect triangle, a little too straight if you ask me but I don’t think anyone would pay attention with the hair all grown out, but anyway how do you decide whether to give the patient a triangular shaped hairline instead of a more “rounded” hairline?

Good question, I always wonder about the same, personally I think the V shape hairline requires fewer grafts so if you have limited donor then the V shape hairline may be better than the U or round hairline. That s the only reason I can come up with about the rationale for the V shape design.
How do I know that my own hair will not be affected or destroyed because of the hair transplant? If you look at his before pic, he still had a lot of hair there and next thing you see the whole top is gone with nothing but red dots all over.
Disagree. Looking at the pics you can see the thinning. The guy was probably keeping his hair so short because it lacked the body for the hairstyle he has in the after-shot.

Most guys with MPB will take that “thinning” any day. Calling this result “full restoration” is a joke.

Hey guys, this is a great question.
The design of the hairline is tailored to each patient specifically.
Rather it be a hairline that is straight across, rounded, temple closure, a feathered and softer look, a high density hairline.
The hairline is created to fit the patient’s facial characteristics. Donor availability, the density the patient is looking to achieve and hairline placement are all taken in to consideration during the design proccess.
Here are some examples of different hailrines all created with our FUE technique.

Well, compare this with the 2300 grafts that this guy had

You gave a very generic response, can you use the guy in this thread as an example and explain why Dr. Armani gave him a V shape hairline instead of something that is more rounded or simply closing off the temples entirely? Not that I am suggesting a lower hairline for this guy but just curious about the logic behind the design.

Looking at the immediately post op pics may seem like the doctor created this hairline for him, but if you look at the before pictures carefully, you will see that it is what he was born with, the doctor did not design the hairline from scratch for this guy.

The entire hairline was brought down for this patient, reshaped and designed. This is not the same hairline the patient was born with.
