May I ask you how old you are, when did you start losing hair, and for how long you’ve been using those supps? And some details about your success, maybe?

Hope you can answer this!

Oh yeah, and could you post sources where you get the stuff from?

Hi amsch,

I am in the 35 - 45 year old age bracket  . I have been using the curcumin/resveratrol/tocotrienols regimen for about a year and a half now. Recently added MSM.

Essentially, curcumin, resveratrol, and tocotrienols virtually eliminated my dandruff and stabilized my hair loss. I also experienced some regrowth in the temple and crown areas. The hair in these areas remained, however, somewhat “lighter” than the rest, so I decided to try different brands of the same herbs, and see what happens.

I initially used Jarrow’s brand for all three. Then I changed to LEF’s Super-Bio curcumin, Country Life’s resveratrol Plus, and Toco-8’s vitamin E. I believe that my results have improved even more. The addition of MSM has probably also helped, with thickness.

Thanks a lot!
Which NW are you? When did you start losing it?

I’m thinking about getting on those 3 along with an topical antiandrogen. Your sig still says Jarrow, so you use both or just LEF’s super bio, and country life’s resv.?

I’m just wondering how i’d get those things to austria. We have very strict customs. =/

I am now probably a NW 1.5. I started losing hair, little by little, about 12 years ago.

I presently use only LEF’S curcumin, Country Life’s resveratrol, Toco-8’s vitamin E, and Nature’s Way’s MSM. I will probably rotate in Jarrow’s resveratrol at a later date.

You should try iHerb.com, and see if they ship to Austria.

The best to you!

I spend about $60 a month. I could get most of what I take for cheaper online but I end up picking it up from local stores instead.

Where do you get your Toco-8 from for $15?

:rotfl:

this site offers it at just over $16

LOL!

toast, I get mine from:

http://www.primordialperformance.com/store/Tocotrienols_vitamine_Toco8.html

There are several tocotrienol products available. I have tried TOCO-SORB and Toco-8. Both are good products, but I find that Toco-8 gives me more energy. Still trying to determine whether or not it’s the Toco-8 that has thickened my hair recently.

I have feeling the MSM is also helping.

I’ve noticed my regimen has reduced my shedding a lot but I still want to add more things just for overall health. I am definitely going to add MSM and Toco-8.

Currently on saw pimento, curcumin, maca root, and biotin.

I want to add resveratrol, toco-8, MSM, Nettles, Pygeum, and Beta Sitosterol. Not that it really matters but also 2% Niz but I am fine with the 1% because I like the smell. :]

Yes, I would recommend that you do add resveratrol, if you are taking curcumin.

Also, it’s important to pay close attention to how your body reacts to different combinations of herbs. Some herbs are not without side effects, and may interact poorly when combined with others.

Nice to know that your regimen is working for you!

Jacob, thanks for updating your regimen. But I was surprised to see none of the real BIG THREE (curcumin, resveratrol, and tocotrienols) in there?

Whatsupwiththat  ?

And, about how much does a regimen like that run you a month?

Oh I’m thinking about them…especially those liposomal curcumin 'n resveratrol products. There’s some of them in the “greens” products I take…like NanoGreens.

Speaking of NanoGreens…here’s something on another product they make: “NanOmega3’s golden color comes from its organic golden flax and non-gmo curcumin extract containing 85% circuminoids. Each serving of NanOmega3 provides 70 mg of circumin extract from turmeric!”

Cost of my regimen? $1.01 a day. Actually I’d have to get back to you on that one :stuck_out_tongue:
