Coconut milk for hair loss

There are a few online resources which say that application of cocunut milk all over the scalp and massaging it into the hair roots is beneficial in the treatment of hair loss.

I could not find any case reports on this.

I believe that applying coconut milk on scalp won’t be easy.
I have seen that coconut milk gets a little bit sticky after a while…

it’s probably a scam, I have never heard of that before. Coconut milk is just high in fat, not much nutritional value as far as I know

I dont know whether it is a scam. But it is used as a home remedy to treat hair loss in Indian medicine.

Are you sure you didn’t mean coconut OIL?

But I wouldn’t be surprised if coconut milk had things like monolaurin in it…which may be good.

I meant coconut milk and not coconut oil.

Though it is mentioned in Indian medicine, I read somewhere that in Mexico it is used to make shampoos.

hmmm…I’ve been using a bit of this coconut milk on my hair. It’s very common here in Thailand. I put it on my hair an hour before I wash it. That’s what the home remedy sites said to do and it’s a LOT thicker. I wash it out an hour later so I doubt it’s just buildup. I think I’ll keep this in my regimen.
