BHTs do not take on the characteristics of the scalp hairs once implanted.
BHTs do seem to be capable of drifting in the direction of scalp hair characteristics gradually. But that’s a long way from saying they become indistinguishable.
I think realistically they might double in length from what they do on the body at best.
i agree with all you’ve said thanks as i was looking for confirmation. i ask because it is vital my my future plan of mixing 2000 body fue in my crown and vertex area as most of my donor supply will be used at the front.
i always opted to go to umar for my body fue but i dont recal him answering a single one of my questions since ive posted (maybe he answered 1). thats too bad.
its a critical choice but a very difficult one too
by the way, if body hair can really grow about twice their original length then im in luck. my chest hair grows just over 2 inches! this is the ONLY reason why i have not undergone hair laser removal yet. they’re reserved for my head.

Well, the facts are, no one knows how body hair will take when transplanted, its not guaranteed to grow on anyone, so its kind of hard to determine what yield anyone is going to get, because, unlike scalp, which can probably be estimated with certainty, you simply cannot apply the same logic to bodyhair in answering in general terms. It would be dishonest to say a patient will receive a percentage yield, as if everyone will get the same result. That would be like saying Rogaine works the same on everyone.
