Been on these boards for over a year, still not sure who are the best at FUE?

Any recommendations? Can someone point me in the direction of some doctors that have a lot of successful patients with photo or video?

Thanks

My bad, I guess I should have said besides Armani, because I am very aware of his good work with FUE, but other than him I’m not really sure who else is out there. I mean is there a huge drop off in quality of FUE from Armani to the next 3 or 4 guys out there who are are stellar FUE surgeons?

Personally I like Cole and Woods mostly because they do a lot of work for older guys like me. Armani is great but his style would not look right on someone in his 40s.

absolutely dr umar, he has restored the life of many disfigured patients, now just imagine what he could do with a virgin head, also consider the price, others mentioned are priced outrageously,

Yes very good point, does Armani do older guys at all.If he can do younger guys wouldn’t he be able to do older guys as well.

Not from what I have seen. Most of his pics I have seen are guys in their 20s or 30s with almost the same style. It sure does work well for them but that’s not what I want for myself. I am more into those “less is more” slightly receding natural look, so far I think Cole and Woods are the best for this type of work.

I am glad so many people recommend dr Umar because frankly there is not 1 picture from him that impresses me. It’s always tons of grafts with very minimal results. I always ask myself why would someone be pleased with that?

I don’t know where is the link but Hairsite once posted a chart that shows Arvind has the most # of successful patients with photos. Whether you like those pics is another story

Besides Armani

We have Cole, Woods, Arvind, Umar, and Bisanga, as top recommendations for FUE?

I think Dr. Feller should be included on any top FUE docs list. He has shown good yield on pictures that he’s posted and he seems very knowledgeable about FUE albeit sometimes controversial in that it’s not what FUE proponents always want to hear. His $10/graft price is kind of high though, plus he probably won’t do the large megasessions (2000+ grafts) that some other clinics might do, but that might not be such a bad thing when it comes to yield.

I’m not ready to put Dr. Armani in the top recommendation class FOR FUE just quite yet as I am concerned about the yield on some patients that have been posting on other forums. I love Dr. Armani’s hairline designs and I so hope that an overwhelming majority of his FUE patients have excellent results, but the yield issue on some patients worries me. And it’s weird, for some patients the # of grafts used for the area worked on seems normal, but then for others, it seems the # of grafts used for the area worked on seems very high which makes the low yield issue even more troubling. I’d have to say though, even for the short period of time Dr. Armani has been fully committed to FUE, there have been a lot of patients documenting their progress so at least we will be able to form a pretty good opinion since there will be a lot of results to judge upon.

Nowadays there are a lot of good strip doctors, I think he is a good strip doctor but he is not in the same class as Hasson and Wong or Armani, and I would definitely not use Feller for fue.

Why not wait another year, I was skeptical at first but Follica might have something after all. The good news is that there is no requirement for fda approval.

I am interested in seeing what Follica might be able to accomplish but I don’t have very high hopes. We keep getting feed the same old BS about all of these advancements in the industry, just 3-5 more years, etc, etc. Sooner or later a man just has to say, to hell with it all and go after what works right now, if hairloss affects their life that much. And that is pretty much where I am at.

Right now Hasson & Wong are at the top of my list, but I still am not very excited about doing a strip procedure. I know I will lose a lot more hair in the future, I am a NW4 btw, and I really like wearing my hair short on the sides. What’s a guy to do?

Ever consider FUE? I like to keep it short too so that’s what I’m going for. I’m schedule for mid May.

Yeah, I’ve looked at FUE, and would prefer it but I just haven’t been able to find any doctors that I’m consistently impressed with yet.

I would like to see more pictures and videos from Dr. Umar’s patients. He only has about 4 or 5 patients on his website.

Dr. Cole’s office I have not been very impressed with those far. I had scheduled a consultation last November in Chicago when they had their consults there. I had taken a day off work, only to find out a day beforehand that they changed the previously scheduled day to be 2 weeks later. I simple phone call or email would have been nice. Besides that though I would like to see more current pictures from patients.

These were my big 3 doctors I was looking at (H&W, Umar, and Cole) and H&W keep showing the best results over and over again in abundance.

There are a lot more here for Dr. Umar,
