Any comments on using solely beard hair to build up temple points?

Even if the beard hair quality differs somewhat from head hair, if you clip your temples short, like a lot of men, does it matter?

Beard hair are too thick and usually wavy/curly to use in temples.
A better alternative is to use armpit hair or post-auricular hair.
