Bald men look older then their age?

Since we don’t have anything to talk about…

I’ve been noticing this lately, that all the bald men (NW6-7) look way older than their age. And I’m not talking about older in the sense that they have less hair, I mean their skin usually looks wrinklier etc - it’s just the face in general looks more aged. E.g. Dr. Mercola, Moby etc. What do you guys think is the reason for this?

hmmm this is a great point. ugh hairloss is complicated the only thing we could do now is find a way to bring it back then figure out exactly why it happens… i mean aside from genetics thiers a whole bunch of other reasons. its very difficult to exactly whats the cuase. i mean heck it could be one or two or even all of them that cuase it… i think it could have alot to do with mental age. if u feel u are older ur body begins to react like its older. idk but its freaken driving me nuts

this norwood-scale is so old and not very good in my opinion.

Actually, I’m NW7 and have been mistaken for 32 years old. I’m actually 43.

Interstingly enough, given an absolute choice of Norwood scale to have my hair at, I would choose Norwood 2 over Norwood 0 any day.

Sure you were. Because 32-year-olds look so normal bald.

You’re not alone in that, just in a quieter group.

The NW#1 is over-worshipped among MPB guys.

It’s not surprising. People lacking in something that they sorely want, have a habit of falling in love with the other extreme end of the spectrum.

But life doesn’t end at 30. And women don’t all want age-less men like how we want women to look. A lot of guys would just look better spending their life as a NW#2.

Exactly.

Do you use any skincare products?

Compare him to the older Colin Farel (no hairloss whatsoever), and then think again.

I actually think skincare and lifestyle is only 20% what you look like and how you age. The other 80% is genetic and at this time, cannot be altered. This accounts for the apparent immunity of some people to drug and alcohol abuse. Basically, the rate at which you age, and your propensity to be affected adversely by drugs, alcohol and the environment, is coded into your genetic make-up. Some people get away with hammering the booze etc and still do okay. Others suffer marked effects.
In answer to your question Goata, I DO use copper peptides and a vitamin C and ascorbic acid solution on my skin daily. But my youthful skin is definitely not attributable to that.
When I was younger, I actually looked older than my years (prior to me beginning balding at 16). It’s just that I didn’t seem to age at the same rate as friends who initially looked younger than I.
I have a friend of the same age who looks FAR older than me DESPITE me having lost all my hair and he is a NW1. We grew up together and it amazes him how I can look so much younger than he when I’m totally bald.
Basically, stay out of the sun and apply a generic moisturiser is the only advice I can give to anyone. And give up smoking. It phucks up your skin.

this has nothing to do with HM yet its fine and ok with you because it is posted by one of the HM supporters

but if one of the skeptics posts an off topic post, you jump all over their ass, saying HEY POST THIS IN THE SUPPORT GROUP WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH HM. etc

seems you guys need to look in the mirror

Again, the title of the thread is “Hair Multiplication & Research”, so the discussion doesn’t have to be about HM only. Even though my post has nothing to do with hair direclty, I was just exploring if there could be an indirect link as I have been noticing noticing bald guys with wrinkly skin a lot lately.

Nonetheless, this thread is far better than the fights that you guys start over senseless posts. If anything, we may learn to keep our skin healthier for longer period.

Absolutely.

Looking older has nothing to do with it.

For example, I’d love to have had a full head of gray hair even in my twenties and thirties, rather than having gone bald.
