I believe that the company decided to drop dutasteride as a hair loss drug, probably feeling that Propecia was not the blockbuster drug they thought it would be and not wanting to spend the money on marketing and trying to break in and grab market share from Merck (Propecia). Just not that much market share to grab, if you know what I mean.
