very interesting.
If this test works, it would be a very valuable tool to planify your strategy against baldness.
How much does it cost?

US$149

They mentioned the same price in some other releases. But I think the price will differ from country to country and from physician to physician.

Or you could pluck some hairs from your head & compare the diameter of their shafts to each other. It’s free.

I just thought the same. I’m NOT convinced about such a sort of “DNA test” - at least in its current manner they offer such tests. Current it’s more likely just a new marketing hype to attract (young) people to “counselor”-offices, shady physicians with miracle baldness cures or straight away into HT chairs. :expressionless:

I read about HairDX some years ago. The test itself actually seems legit… they actually scan for several genes which have been identified to increase the risk of balding… also people with a certain gene combination are known to be fairly bad responders to conventional treatment such as finesteride etc.

I’m just saying… ofcourse the examination is not fullproof but still… it is a scientifically legitimate study of your gene’s trying to assess your phenotype. It’s not a complete sc*am at least…

As I, most ppl here are not huge fans of Dr. Rassman, but i just wanted to include that he has often advised people in the past to have them self examined by HairDX if they feel they are showing little or no response to finesteride…

149 usd is pretty cheap, considering the prices people are willing to pay for a HT.

If the test gives you any amount of information, then it is worthy.
