A Request to Bryan, Benji, and yes, even Hangin

Despite some positive developments, we are still many, many years away from a true cure. As you three seem to be the most knowledgeable members in your respective specialties (Bryan and Benji being particularly well-informed and up-to-date on real science, Hangin on the “natural” approach), I was wondering if you would each offer a best protocol employing what is currently available. Pretend as if you’ve just been approached by a 19-year-old who has just realized he’s loosing his hair and has no idea what to do about it. What regiment would you suggest to him? I think this exercise would be immensely valuable to new members (and might offer some of the veterans some new ideas). In the interest of keeping this thread on topic and as free of clutter as possible, I’d ask that each of you make a single, definitive post that contains your protocol and any other pertinent information (reasoning, implications/sides, etc.).

As Far As The Natural board

I would say there are definitely more than one person to ask, and this should be asked on the natural board\

  1. The Natural
  2. Jacob
  3. Pete
  4. Perhaps Me

There may be one or two others but these are the ones who contribute the most and have been around the longest.

I was trying to keep this as a one-stop thread that consolidated the best information on this forum for newbies looking for advice. By splitting it up among the various convoluted forums on this board (many of which don’t get 1/100th of the views this one does), it defeats the purpose. But thanks for fcking that up - we can always count on you for doing your best to derail a discussion. Really, I don’t know why you haven’t been banned yet - even when someone makes an effort to keep this place relevant and attract traffic to this site, you still want to troll it out.

So its down to Benji and Bryan then.

Thanks fckhrls,

Just noticed ARI is advertising for trial patients (men and women) in today’s free “Express” newspaper put out by the Washington Post, in the DC area.

Given their history of years of delays, I’m skeptical about ARI, but you never know… the delays could also mean they have something and are determined to get it out.

The ad says they want healthy men and women between 18 and 65, who have distinct thinning on the crown and who have not recently used medications for hairloss, or any other chronic medications.

Hairsite already deleted all your troll posts, so what do you do? Keep trolling. I just don’t seem him putting up with you much longer.

I didn’t complain to him, he did it all on his own. He’s on to you, and your time here will soon come to an end. Me = trying to assist and attract new members to his site and keep his board alive. You = never-ending trolling, complete with juvenile threads. Which do you think he values? Keep it up - when he finally gets tired of having to follow you around, cleaning up your mess, I’m going to really enjoy seeing you banned once and for all (not that you’d be gone - you’d just sign up again under an alias).

show me some posts where you actually contributed to the board?

New members? ya like we need new delusional people discussing HM that will never arrive

if you are interested in HM why ask me and the other two guys to post?
\answer?
because HM is a farce :lol2:  and you know it

you were trying to get people who actually know SOMETHING about hair loss to post on the delusional board because this board is a joke

by the way do you and rev date each other, or are you just flirting with the guy

» this board is a joke

And yet you’re here, at all hours, trolling in a desperate attempt to get someone - anyone - to pay attention to you. Why don’t you do us and yourself a favor and close your account? Because you’re one of those weird, lonely internet trevs who NEEDS the attention because you can’t get any in your real life. But by all means, keep posting - you’re making my case for me. I’m sure Hairsite will be overjoyed to have to clean up yet another one of your troll messes.

and you are here all hours of the day and night, touche douchebag

whats wrong rev wont play with you

I asked you to post where you have contributed to the board in any way, i guess thats too difficult a request

since I dont see anything. or did I miss that?

as with rev you dont answer the question
I asked if HM is such a success or potential success why beg me and Bryan etc to post on the board?
you admitted the board is dying, why is that?
I will break the news to you

HM is a joke
it is either a complete fraud and fantasy perpetrated by greedy companies who are given incentive to keep people thinking that a cure is “3 yrs away”

or if it is feasable it will not be here for at least 20 yrs if not longer

guys on the board dont want to hear that
they want to congratulate each other on each little tidbit of “news” that trickles out of these companies, and present new lame brained ideas

they want other guys to say GEE WHIZ, HEY THAT SOUNDS GREAT, WHEN IS THE NEXT TRIAL PHASE FOR ICX? CAN HAIRSITE INTERVIEW THESE GUYS?

And what is the results of the last 15 to 20 yrs of speculation, and research? is HM available? Nope, nothing has even been brought to market

but guys get totally pissed off at the TROLLS as they call them, who dare to doubt the viability of HM, or the timelines that they love to fantasize about\

Newsflash it is not your board, when you become a moddy let me know

Show you a post where I tried to contribute? How about the thread I just started that you’ve now ruined by trolling. The point of this was to get the most informed people about the various protocols available now to share their knowledge so that new members could start doing something about their hairloss while we wait for something better to come along.

As to you rant about HM and its viability, just more trolling. I didn’t say HM would be here tomorrow; in fact, the VERY POINT of my post is that its many years away and that people should be doing all they can to hold on to what they have now. But as usual, your piss-poor reading comprehension has sent you chasing more windmills. Like I said - do rant on; it only builds the case to get you perma-banned. There are no mods except for Hairsite himself, and if he knows what’s good for his board, he’ll boot you post haste.

dude you are a joke
you tried to contribute with this thread? you ruined your own thread
my answer to your original thread post was not disrespectful in any way, go back and read it
then go back and read the horseSHIIT post you responded with after i didnt reply in the manner you wanted

I said go to the natural board and there are 4 guys there very knowledgeable, notify them of this thread, did you do that? nope
you came on in response to my post, and rudely sarcastically, ignorantly attempted to one up me, and in the process only made yourself look like a fool and baited me into a slugfest

you know I dont back down, when challenged, and you did it on purpose since you didnt get your way

sling mud on yourself? dont then cry when you are muddy

I offered you an opportunity to provide this regiment you’re always crowing about, to do it succinctly, in the thread, and in one post. Instead, like the troll you are, you went to work derailing it.

“you know I don’t back down, when challenged” LOL! Are you for real? Not only are you a troll, you’re an internet tough guy to boot! You’re a joke here, and I imagine, in real life as well - why else would you behave like you do? Its a matter of time before you’ll be opening a new account here.

The easiest and cheapest regimine would be using “the big 3” by gettting the finasteride as generic proscar (Genhair.com sells it) and biting the pills into fifths, over-the-counter Nizoral[/color] (use it 2-3 times per week, leaving the shampoo in for 3 minutes or so), and generic minoxidil liquid used once a day.

If a 19 year old didn’t have some good regrowth in 12 months using this regimine, its likely his genetics are very-very prone to high-NW-level baldness. That regimine would be very cheap. Probably less a dollar-a-day for sure.

One could “upgrade” and use ketoconazole cream instead of the nizoral shampoo.
One could also use Prox-N instead of minox (probably a longer-lasting effect as a stimulant because it addresses more of the etiology of whats happening in Male Pattern Baldness and chemicals therein are concocted to act as countermeasures to particular events).
One could take dutasteride, which is a bit more anti-androgenic than finasteride.

However, the “big 3” together work well synergistically and so cheaply. Finasteride inhibits the most important hormonal stimuli, type 2 DHT. Nizoral (if you leave it in and let it penetrate) will inhibit the androgen receptors some (ketoconazole shampoos have been shown to lessen sebum by about 19% at 6 months), supposedly (Ive read in a few places, but haven’t seen this definitively to my satisfaction) inhibits a pathway upstream of alpha five reductase, but does act as an anti-inflammatory and inhibits some prostaglandins that are involved in inflammation, AND has a hyptertrichotic effect (ketoconazole STIMULATES human body hair…trust me, I washed one wrist with it for three months and the hair got longer and darker, completely contrary to my expectation at the time). Minoxidil is a wonderful stimulant that inhibits the crosslinking of collagen around the root sheath, has a suppressive effect on TGF-beta, keeps the follicles in the anagen phase much longer, ups Nitric Oxide, and opens potassium channels. In fact, minox + ketoconazole together probably accomplishes much of what prox-n would alone. The “big three” really work well complimenterary of each other.

There used to be a very “wow” regrowth photo of a guy named “Martin” at the HairlossBalk “photo gallery” for years, but I dont think that feature is there anymore. It showed the great results the big three could provide for a young man who caught it early enough. A cheap and easy “adjunct” to the big three could be NANO shampoo (Dr. Proctor) or (my opinion) one of the L’Oreal Shampoos that contain limonene, or possibly a salycic acid shampoo (inhibts COX-2 to an extent). Eating a healthy diet with less junk food that lowers systemic inflammation would also probably be a plus. That Garnier Fructis Fortifying shampoo has some interesting ingredients (my opinion) also. A piroctone olamine shampoo could be helpful. I dont know if piroctone olamine works in through very similar mechanisms as keto though, but even if it did, it would just be more of a good thing.

If the guy was zealous as all get out, and wanted to throw the kichen sink at it no matter the costs or side effects, I’d tell him something like Dutasteride, Ketoconazole cream, topical proxiphen. That would be costly, but surely someone could hold onto what they had by using all of that.

A couple of “cheapie” things one could add to the liquid minoxidil might be a few drops of cedarwood and rosemary oil. I personally think lavender might have systemic side effects.

i dont know if i recommend niz cream every day, alternate days or two to three times a week

i dont know if using minox AND propecia etc is recommended, though i dont hang out on those boards

why you dont recommend anything natural, such as a super hair vitamin?
most guys who do the drug route seem clueless in this regard, but if they try it they like it

did you drop out of high school and just get your GED or are you hoping to pass the GED soon

Hangin I don’t see the logic to you using any regimen. I heard you’re as bald as a baby’s ass. Are you looking for regrowth? I can only speculate that best case scenario would be to have very little growth…but nothing beyond the Homer Simpson look.

Oh, and I also notice you bragging across the board that you’ve maintained your hair for 10+ yrs with peanuts and olive oil, lol but we all know you’re just joking. You’r such a kidder dude

yeh…super hair vitamin is definetly going to maintain someone’s hair or give regrowth. any credibility you once had for natural supplements just went out the window.

“Super Hair Vitamin” pfft

I’ve used almost everything there is out there (except hangin’s 10 yr garbage of peanuts and olive oil) and the best results I’ve experienced to date are from dut, minox, and niz 2%. Benji you hit right on target.

fckhrls I hope you don’t mind me contributing to your post

ya ur a real expert on naturals I heard
:lol2:

dont you have like 100 guys following your regimen reporting stupendous regrowth? :lol2:

by the way every time you open your mouth you confirm your hypocrisy
you are on the natural board raving about MSM, (which is in the super hair vitamins) , then you come on this board acting like super vitamins are laughable, just to try to one up me

How exactly is MSM marvelous while Maxi Hair, (which contains MSM in large amounts as well as many other hair nutrients) elicits snickers

looks like your little game is up
you just revealed yourself to be a hypocritical fake
