A flaw in the theory of HT

#1

Just a note to say that it has never been demonstrated that a 2, 3 or 4 hair follicular unit remains the same number after recycling even where there is no thinning. In fact it seems very very likely that this is not the case. As a result all of the FUE ideas and the strip “place single hairs FU at the front” are actually badly thought out and certainly jeopardised.

WTF?

Ummm . . . .

Is this idea based on ANYTHING?

Man, I’m not exactly the biggest cheerleader of FUE’s density results myself, but come on. It sounds to me like you’re just saying, “Check this out, there’s no airtight proof that this idea isn’t occurring, so maybe it is!”

There’s no airtight research proving that the center of the earth isn’t made of cheese, either.

Many protocols for placement are based on the retention of hair numbers in an FU. If this is not correct then the rationalle needs a re-think. I am not stating that the numbers change, I am pointing out that one cannot base a strategy on an unknown.

You totally lost me.

Dear Marco,
We did conduct a case study on this subject.
If you remember the case of Minu.
2 hair grafts were placed in identifiable areas of scar tissue (for FUSE as well as FUHT).
The growth of hair per grafts was found to be compatible at 10 month mark.
Regards,
Dr. A

If you plant a two hair follicular unit, does it stay as two hairs or could it become one or three on the next cycle?

marco, are you trying to say that some docs do not put natural follicular units but just put “grafts” basically split the proper units or are you saing is it possible for a follicular unit to change after it has been grafted? sorry, just trying to understand your questions better. You think that they might die off later?

This one below. It was really just a question and Dr. A suggested that it is not the case, at least with the female patient that he studied.

" is it possible for a follicular unit to change after it has been grafted? "

I;ve read your posts and know you are into to this stuff, but you really think hairs can multiply in the skin or even reduce. reduce i can understand better because of bad work.
