Causes of Hair Loss

Blocking production of DHT will be “outdated” as soon as we get an alternative that performs anywhere near as well. It hasn’t happened yet.

And there are tons of people that think/thought as you, who are now receiving ED counseling over there at propeciahelp.com

Again, focus your attention on improving circulation and reducing inflammation.

Hi, didn’t you use Resveratol and Turmeric to stop hairloss? Did it work? Any details? Also, is Turmeric safe and what dosage would you reccomend? I lost a close relative to a brain tumor, so was a bit scared reading about some claims that Turmeric may accelerate cancer

Also, is there a safe, cheap Turmeric source available (one without any lead etc) - I live in India and would probably order online.

» Hi, didn’t you use Resveratol and Turmeric to stop hairloss? Did it work?

Yes, I used a turmeric concentrate (95% total curcuminoids) and resveratrol by Jarrow. Yes, it worked at stopping my dandruff and hair loss.

Stopped my dandruff and itch. Light regrowth. Follow recommended dosage, also use the search function here for more information about curcumin and resveratrol.

Curcumin is one of the safest herbs on the planet.

Jarrow, Source Naturals, Thorne Research, Now Foods. Check out iHerb.com.

Thanks man, what is the reccomended dosage? 400 mg, 800 mg? Or even more?

Also will it work for a Norwood 3-V ? Stopping loss that is? How long will it take

Is it safe to use along with Minox?

I am planning on using Minox 5% (1 application) + Res (2 a day) + Curcumin (800 mg daily, that is 2 tablets of 400 mg each)

From what I have read, you should not expect anything more than maintaining your existing hair with curcumin and resveratrol. It stops shedding and inflammation (i.e.dandruff), but does appear to regrow hair for most users.

As I mentioned in an earlier posts, I have since switched to curcumin and aged garlic extract, because I think garlic has more benefits and is cheaper.

Do not buy LEF’s Super Bio Curcumin, as it has caused many users to shed. The other brands that I stated (Jarrow, Thorne Research, etc.) have been effective for users. Use as directed.

Hope this helps.

How long did it take before your shedding stopped? Can one continue taking curcumin indefinitely? For several years?

I am taking Himalaya’s curcumin.

Within a couple of weeks. I will take curcumin for the rest of my life. Do a google search for the health benefits.

I received this information from MPB Research, which you may peruse at your leisure:

» What supplements are you presently using Bernie?

I use the following:

  1. Minox (Kirkland) 3x per day
  2. Proscar 1.25mg
  3. Nizoral shampoo 3x per week (leave in for 20 mins)
  4. Thyme extract (I simply add it to the Minox at 1:10 ratio)
  5. Apple cider vinegar rinse 3x a week
  6. L-Arginine Plus
  7. General supplements (Vit D, Vit K, Tumeric, Krill, Resveratrol, CO-Q10)

I keep as green and healthy as I can, e.g. low sugar and low processed foods. I supplement with whey protein for workouts.

Nothing special or new. I did buy some Evodia as a systemic PDG2 inhibitor but have not added it to my regimen yet (as my results are ok).

I believe I may just be a lucky person that responds to the top 3 elements of my program.

Wow - looks like “heavy duty”. Did you see any improvements from this regimen so far?

I would be careful with Proscar…I dropped it after 5 years due to sides…also the new risk studies do not make me really comfy about it.

I agree.

I have read so many horror stories about Proscar. Nothing is worth risking your health over, even if its results are, on average, much better than that of natural alternatives.

believe me, people on propecia are not witnessing great results!

the natrual route is much more potent if you know the true cause of baldness…i think theres even hope for people with norwood 7 baldness via the natrual route!!

can you recommend a good all natural route? I have been on Propecia for a year and a half, it stops my hair loss for sure, but am concerned about side effects using this long term.

what norwood are you?

perhaps the natrual and more experienced people that are on the natrual route can chime in.

my experience on the natrual route has only been for about 1/1.5 years but still im confident, and im currently introducing new stuff to reverse the hairloss in my hairline.

you obviously seemed to have controlled your hair loss via propecia, and dont want to suggest a regime that may not work for you.

Causes of hair loss are many, and some of the common ones are hereditary MPB, underlying illness, medications, vitamins/ minerals deficiency, stress, etc.

You can treat hair loss naturally by using products that contain effective herbs such as He Shou Wu and saw palmetto. Both these potent herbs aid in preventing hair loss and promote hair growth.

I recommend using Biotin and L-cartinine. it helps to me…

Taking a daily dose of vitamin and mineral supplement, like having a well-balanced diet, helps achieve healthier and more radiant-looking mane.

Definitely sounds like Alopecia Areata - an autoimmune disease. It causes bald spot that can spread to the whole scalp and sometimes even the whole body. Stress has been known to be the main cause.
